I have recently quit gluten, sugar and coffee and in the words of some of my friends almost quit life. What is life without good food anyway?!! I recently stumbled upon Jaan's gluten free menu and decided to give it a shot and realised that going gluten free doesn't mean you have to quit life for real. It's especially hard to find an Indian place that does gluten free and boy was I pleased.Below is a course by course breakdown of my din din: Also, full disclosure I did have sugar on this day 😍😍DrinksGuns n Roses Ever tried eating your alcohol?!! Try this vodka midori (melon liquorice), mixed berries, a touch of basil and of course dry ice in a sorbet form. Unbelievably delicious. 🍷🍷🍷Smoking CosmoCranberry juice, vodka and dry ice Interesting update to the classic vodka and cranberry juice combo. Recommend it for the super fun arabesque glass as well.🍷🍷🍷StartersLife of NemoKuramaguro blue fin tuna marinated in spicy dashi (Japanese condiment). Tastes super fresh and comes a top a floating nemo.Salmon KejriwalContrary to what you might think this is not named after  Arvind Kejriwal (Indian politician) but after the style of eggs famously done in Mumbai. So you're looking at eggs done Kejriwal style along with smoked salmon, spicy mayonaise, tobiko (flying fish toe). It's simply amaaazing.🍭🍭🍭🍭Turkey bacon wrapped prawn Comes with Narangi and sriracha sauce. This was just out of the world tasty with just the right kinda flavouring. I'm still thinking about it.🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭Cold Smoke Chaat Dhokla made cold with N2O, cold smoked chaat and jhaal muri...Fun take on the good ole classic. Plus the super fab pearl encrusted box is so pretty it's fit to be my next jewellery box. Go for it!🍭🍭🍭 Hunter's PoussinBaby chicken with basil and cumin accompanied by beetroot sauce in that cute crow's feet shaped bowl. Simple, light and just the right kind of flavoruig and the best part not greasy at all. 🍭🍭🍭🍭Dauphinoise of potato with jhalmuri sprinkle It's got oven grilled potatos stacked dauphinoise style served with yoghurt sauce and crispy jhalmuri (puffed rice) and it's yummers.🍭🍭🍭🍭Our Table MainsButter Chicken This is a good ole classic and it lives up fabulously to being just that. So so good... 🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭Normandie Dairy DalStrong tandoor flavours and not sweet like the traditional Dal Makhani. Kinda got a tough flavouring which I like. 🍭🍭🍭🍭Can never go wrong with rice.Lol. DessertChocolate Cigar  Made with hazelnut ash, cookie marque and served with prune and armagnac ice cream. The best thing I've had and comes close to my favourite dessert at Coya - Ganache de Caramelo. 🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫The food at Jaan is  Indian yet without the oily, heavy feeling that usually comes with it. It's light, adventurous and as they say progressive Indian food. What makes the deal sweeter is the great ambience, funky graffiti walls accompanied with a leopard in the woods wall. It's sophisticated and classy yet slightly upturned with the decor and the food. Lovely staff and the fabulous and friendly chef - Farrokh Khambata deserve a shout out cause they add to the already amazing hospitality that you get to experience in Dubai day in and out. Love love this place!!! Totally going back again and again....🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭
